The free, two-day event transported visitors back to the Revolutionary War era with military encampments, living history demonstrations, artisan villages, musical performances and large-scale battle reenactments.

Organizers say participants traveled from around the world, including two regiments from England and one reenactor from Japan.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore Continental and British Army camps, watch military drills, musket and artillery demonstrations, horseback cavalry displays and learn what daily life was like during the American Revolution.

Each day culminated with a massive reenactment of moments from the Battle of White Plains, featuring approximately 1,000 reenactors representing dozens of historical military units.

Natasha Caputo, director of tourism and film for Westchester County, said the event highlights the county's significant role during the American Revolution and encourages visitors to continue exploring local history through Westchester's American Revolutionary Trail.

In addition to historical demonstrations, Rev Fest featured performances by West Point's Benny Havens Band, the Sankofa Drum and Dance Ensemble, historical storytellers, including Benedict Arnold, John André and Deborah Sampson, and a Hamilton singalong.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River.

On Sunday, the Battle of White Plains reenactment is taking place at 2 p.m.

Admission is free.

Food trucks are available on-site, and attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets.

No parking is available at the reservation.

Visitors must park at designated off-site locations either at the Bedford Hills Train Station, John Jay Homestead, or the Katonah Train Station, where free shuttle service is provided throughout the event.

Those traveling by train can take Metro-North's Harlem Line to either Bedford Hills or Katonah stations and board a complimentary shuttle to the festival.
