WHAT TO KNOW:

• Coastal storm stays off shore, but brings windy weather by midweek.

• No significant rain is in the forecast for the next 10 days.

FORECAST

OVERNIGHT

Temperatures will remain above 40 overnight. Freezing temperatures are not in the forecast.

MONDAY

Sunny and chilly to start, then mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Morning lows in the 40s, afternoon highs climb to the low 60s. The wind will shift to the northeast at 10 mph.

MIDWEEK COASTAL STORM

A large coastal storm is expected to remain well offshore during the middle of the week, but there will be impacts. Windy weather and more clouds are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday. Coastal erosion is expected on the Atlantic.

The risk for rain Wednesday and Thursday is low, but this forecast could change if the storm tracks closer. That is not expected as of Sunday evening's forecast.
