Four men were wounded during an early morning knife attack near the route of the West Indian American Day Parade, hours before festivities kicked off. One victim was left in critical condition.
It happened just after 5:45 a.m. near Utica Avenue and Carroll Street.
According to investigators, a 23-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were stabbed in the neck. A 36-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the face.
Paramedics took all three men to Kings County Hospital, where the 32-year-old victim is in critical condition as of Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say they discovered the fourth victim, a 20-year-old man, after he took himself to the hospital. He suffered a slash wound to the chin.
The 20-year-old, 23-year-old and 36-year-old victims are expected to recover, according to police.
Investigators have not said what led to the violence.
