A Suffolk County MRI technician accused of instructing a 16-year-old patient to pose suggestively in 2023 has been convicted of child endangerment.

Prosecutors say Robbie Baguio, 37, told the girl to strip from her waist down and pose in sexual positions for a routine exam on her leg at the Bohemia branch of Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group.

The girl questioned Baguio’s instructions, but he insisted that she comply with the procedure. She told her mother afterwards, who immediately called the police.

Prosecutors say expert testimony at the trial proved that the poses were completely unnecessary for the exam.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office recommended that Baguio be given the maximum split sentence of 60 days incarceration and three years of probation.

The judge also gave him a conditional discharge and issued an order of protection for the victim.
