Three arrested in fatal Hempstead gang killing of 18-year-old
Three people, including a juvenile, have been charged with second-degree murder after police say an 18-year-old was fatally beaten and stabbed in a gang-related attack in Hempstead.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of an 18-year-old who was killed in June in Hempstead.
Police say 21-year-old Denis Alexander Gonzalez Sorto and 20-year-old Isaac Lopez Alvarez were arrested Friday night. Investigators allege the two men stabbed, kicked, and beat Michael David Grajeda Suazo during an attack on Fulton Avenue on the night of Sunday, June 28.
Grajeda Suazo was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
"This is gang violence on the streets of Hempstead," said Nassau County Police Detective Lt. George Darienzo. "Our victim was accompanied by two 13-year-olds while he was murdered on the street."
Police also arrested a 17-year-old juvenile in connection with the case.
All three suspects were arraigned and are facing second-degree murder charges.
