A sexual harrassment lawsuit has been filed against the NYPD for allegations in the Bronx's 46th precinct.

Three female NYPD officers, Sergeant Osmairys A. Avila, officer Pamela Sosa, and officer Brittany N. Romero filed against the City of New York, Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, and Deputy Inspector Juan O. Moran.

The lawsuit alleges sexual harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, race, ethnicity and national-origin discrimination.

The complaint alleges Moran used his rank as commanding officer to create private access to subordinate Latina female members, pressure them into department-related events, sexualize them, touch them without consent, humiliate them publicly and retaliate or intimidate them when they resisted.

This is not the first lawsuit against the NYPD regarding the work environment at the 46th Precinct.

Back in March, a female officer filed a suit that claims on New Year's Day 2025 NYPD Inspector Jeremy Scheublin called the officer into his office, grabbed her, threw her onto a couch, tried to kiss her and attempted to remove her gun belt.

The officer says she fought him off and escaped after kicking him in the groin. News 12 will be in court later today regarding the allegations against former NYPD Inspector Jeremy Scheublin.

News 12 has reached out to the NYPD about the latest allegations.
