Adelphi University and Molloy University are separated by about 15 miles, but they'll collide this weekend for a great college lacrosse game.

The Lions and Panthers won NCAA quarterfinal games Wednesday night to advance to the Division II Final Four.

This will be Molloy's first trip to the Final Four.

The Lions advanced by beating St. Michael's 12-7 in Rockville Centre. Justin Paulis and Tommy Corcoran each had two goals. It was the Lions sixth straight win.

Adelphi advanced by beating Pace University 12-5 in Garden City. The Panthers improved to 18-0 this season. One of those wins was a 10-9 victory against Molloy in the regular season.

Now the two Long Island powerhouses will meet Sunday at Adelphi for a spot in the D-II National Championship game in Virginia.

Adelphi is the two-time defending national champions and is trying to become the first D-II to win three consecutive titles.
