Police are asking for help tracking down a group they say is behind a string of bike robberies across Brooklyn — and in several cases, the victims are teenagers.

Investigators say six people are wanted in connection to at least five incidents reported between March 20 and April 8 in Bensonhurst, Crown Heights, Mill Basin and Park Slope.

Police released images of the group, showing them riding on mopeds with their faces covered. The pictures are not very clear, but officers are hoping someone recognizes something.

According to police, the pattern started March 20 near 14th Avenue and Cropsey Avenue in Bensonhurst. Two teens, ages 14 and 15, were surrounded while riding a moped. One was punched, and the group took the moped and a sweatshirt before fleeing.

On April 4 in Crown Heights, a 31-year-old man was approached while riding his moped. Police say one person showed a knife and took the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Two more incidents happened April 6. In Mill Basin, a 36-year-old man was approached by a group riding mopeds. Police say one person showed a gun, but they were not able to take his motorcycle. Later that day in Bensonhurst, a 15-year-old was pushed off an e-bike, and the group took the bike and a backpack. That victim had minor injuries.

The most recent case happened April 8 in Park Slope. Police say a 16-year-old riding a moped was approached by a group, who took the vehicle and ran off. That victim also had minor injuries.

Police say many of these robberies happened in the afternoon and involved groups approaching people riding mopeds or e-bikes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
