Newburgh man to spend more than a decade in prison after gun and drugs guilty plea

A Newburgh man is heading to prison for more than a decade for his role in a guns and drugs trafficking operation in Orange County.

Prosecutors say 44-year-old Kirkland Salmon was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years behind bars.

The district attorney says Salmon admitted to taking part in four separate conspiracies involving the sale of cocaine, fentanyl as well was guns and ammunition.

Authorities also say 26 other people were arrested in connection with this case.
