More than a dozen Bronx high school students were involved in a Sunday morning bus crash during a field trip upstate which sent several people to the hospital, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. in the Town of Lake George, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
A bus carrying students from multiple Bronx high schools was traveling in the area when it failed to stop at an intersection, went off the road and struck several trees, a vehicle and a boat before it came to a stop.
A total of 23 people were on board, including 17 students and six adults.

Officials said four passengers suffered minor injuries, while the bus driver was more seriously injured.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. All those hospitalized were expected to be released by Sunday evening.
A witness described the crash as loud and chaotic.
The witness also said poor cell service in the area made it difficult for students to contact their parents, which added to the distress.
Authorities had not identified the schools that were involved as of Sunday night.
All students have since safely returned home, according to officials.
It was not immediately clear what led to the crash.
