A bloody scene unfolded outside an apartment building in Allerton on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say two men were attacked with what they describe as a "stick or baton."
The attack happened at 690 Allerton Ave. just after 2 p.m.
EMS took both men to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where they are expected to recover, according to authorities.
News 12 crews observed pools of blood on the ground at the scene and saw an officer put a broom handle in the back of his police cruiser.
