A Brentwood neighborhood is shaken up after a local group says Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents chased a person through their street.

Islip Forward posted a video on social media showing someone running down Ardmore Drive, cars speeding after them and then being chased on foot.

Islip Forward says this happened on March 11. A neighbor shared the video with them. It's unclear who the person in the video is and if they've been detained.

"We believe that that individual was taken into custody," said Ahmad Perez, founder of Islip Forward. "This is now the new normal for submissions that are coming our way, of concerned neighbors, who are shooting footage and videos of things that are happening right outside their window."

"We see a car, three cars coming up the block at least 75 to 80 miles per hour," said Shaquille Wilson, who lives on the street. "If you were walking in the street right at that point, you might have been hurt."

Islip Forward says they've received the most reports about ICE in Brentwood.

"We have seen hundreds at this point take place within the town of Islip and so, we're deeply concerned, and we hope that there's a change in the future," Perez said.

People who live in Brentwood were afraid to talk to News 12 about this on camera. But one person who lives on Ardmore Drive says he fears for the safety of himself and his neighbors.

"My little brother walks all the time," Wilson said. "We have to have our heads on a swivel when somebody is driving up the block for something that's not even involving us. So it's kind of scary."

News 12 reached out to ICE for more information but has not heard back.
