One Nassau barber is making a difference one haircut at a time.

Kamoe Smith drives around in a van throughout Nassau, Queens and New York City and offers haircuts and barbering services.

"When we come to them, it saves them time," says Smith.

His business is called Dessi Mobile Barbering Services.

Smith also gives haircuts to individuals with disabilities, residents in nursing homes and hospitals.

He says he tries to do everything he can for people who can't go to a barbershop in person.

"Providing the service to them, by them not coming to the barbershop is I think it's a great way to get them cleaned up and looking good," says Smith.

The goal is to make his services more accessible to the community.

"The best part is getting to know people, you know, all different type of people and getting to know them and knowing their family and stuff like that," says Smith.
