LIRR back on track following strike

Firefighters spent hours battling a blaze at a vacant home in Spring Valley on Tuesday.

Crews from across Rockland County responded to 1 Wolfe Drive around 9 a.m.

Smoke from the fire could be seen miles away in Nanuet.

Officials said no one was hurt. A connected home had some fire damage, but most the impact was from water and smoke.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
