The community is preparing to say goodbye to the victims of the deadly stabbings inside A&A Italian Deli last week.

The memorial of flowers and candles outside A&A Italian Deli is continuing to grow as people honor the victims.

The wake for Angela and Antonio Dambrosio is set to take place Wednesday and Thursday at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home in Bethpage.

The funeral will be on Friday at St. James R.C. Church in Seaford.

The victims were allegedly stabbed and killed by their son last week.

Police say Vito Dambrosio entered the store and had an argument with his parents in a back room. He then stabbed his mother and attacked his father, stabbing both in the throat, according to police.

They added that Dambrosio was estranged from his family from a domestic incident with a sibling from just weeks ago.

"It's very sad because all my coworkers here, they know them very well, so they were telling me they were very good and a very lovely couple," says Waqas Shamsi, who works nearby.

Vito Dambrosio had a court hearing on Tuesday, but he did not appear in the courtroom. His attorney told News 12 his client remains in custody.
