Charges were dropped against a Massapequa teen accused of promoting a fake “SantaCon” event at a home in Connecticut without permission.
Emmet Blaney, a 19-year-old student at Fairfield University, was charged last month with criminal attempt to commit disorderly conduct and criminal attempt to commit criminal trespass.
The arrest was made the same day police posted online saying there would be no public SantaCon events in Fairfield this year, except a private event hosted by Fairfield University for students and their guests.
There were no arrests or incidents at that event.
