Three Suffolk County high school baseball players will be picked in the Major League Baseball draft.

The draft begins Sunday at 6 p.m. in Atlanta.

Hauppauge High School catcher Michael Oliveto will likely be the first one selected. A recent ESPN mock draft had the Texas Rangers selecting him in the second round. Oliveto is a big hitting catcher who led LI with 17 home runs in the past two seasons. He also hit two balls out of the Arizona Diamondbacks stadium at last month's MLB Scouting Combine.

Patchogue-Medford pitcher Jayden Stroman has a name some fans may recognize. Jayden is the younger brother of Yankees pitcher Marcus Stroman. Jayden is also a pitcher. He was 5-0 this season for the Raiders. He also played shortstop and outfield and batted .456 with a .617 on-base percentage. He told News 12 he's not sure which position he'll play if he's drafted. He said that would be a conversation between a team and his family.

Miller Place pitcher Nick Frusco will likely hear his name called on Monday. Nick is ranked #249 in MLB.com's Top 250 players. This season Nick was 3-0 with 73 strikeouts and a 0.61 ERA. He gave up only 10 hits all seasons. Nick has met with 25 of the 30 MLB teams and had a private workout with the Pittsburgh Pirates last month.

If their draft selections are not to their liking, all three players have excellent college scholarships they can use.

Jayden has one from the University of Virginia.

Michael, a News 12 Scholar Athlete award winner this school year, has a scholarship to Yale.

Nick is currently taking summer classes at Clemson.
