Do you like espionage? Check out the Raynham Hall Museum in Oyster Bay. It’s the home of Robert Townsend, a spy for George Washington. On Friday, July 4, following the 9:30 a.m. parade in Oyster Bay, the museum will be open for a free open house until noon. On Saturday and Sunday it will be open from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. for self-guided tours and guided tours, respectively.

Sagamore Hill, the beloved home of Teddy Roosevelt in Oyster Bay, is having an Independence Day celebration on July 4, beginning at 11 a.m.

Theodore Roosevelt himself (wink, wink) will be meeting visitors and reading the Declaration of Independence.

There will be lawn games and crafts for the kids. All activities are free and open to the public. Reservations aren’t required.
