Residents and businesses in the Village of Rockville Centre will be paying more for their water starting next month.
A water surcharge will be implemented in order to pay for infrastructure improvements to the water system.
Residents should expect to pay $100 more each year, while businesses will see a $200 increase annually.
"The surcharge ensures that our water system continues to meet modern demands without relying on costly debt or delaying necessary improvements," said the village.
