Power is back on for nearly 30,000 people on the North and South Forks of Long Island, according to PSEG.

The director of communication for PSEG said, "Our crews responded this morning to a motor vehicle accident impacting more than 28,000 customers across the North and South Fork of Long Island. Thanks to their hard work, all customers now have power."

Officials told News 12 that a box truck heading eastbound on Middle Road hit a large utility pole in Southold, causing the outages.
