A car-bicycle crash in Ulster County lead to the arrest of a 23-year-old Indiana man on weapons charges.

The incident occurred on Main Street near Joalyn Road last week. The male bicyclist was treated at the scene and hospitalized.

During the investigation, police discovered the driver had several vehicle and traffic violations, including commercial vehicle violations, and was found with a loaded handgun.

Noah Shafer was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned and taken to Ulster County Jail.
