A man was found injured on the side of the road early this morning in Moriches.
Police say John Ballard, of Mastic, was unconscious when he was discovered on Montauk Highway near Louise Road around 4:30 a.m.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. It was not immediately clear how Ballard was injured.
