Over 100 children and their families flocked to the North Merrick Library Friday for a Pokémon event.
It featured card trading, crafts and character appearances.
Organizers say they hope participants can make lifelong friends from the hobby.
News 12 told this was the library's first Pokémon event at its new pavilion.
