Police say a teen is in critical condition following a single-car crash in Central Islip.
Police say the incident happened Monday around 10 p.m.
According to police, Jason Acosta was driving on Lowell Avenue between Satinwood and East Sycamore streets when he lost control of the car.
The car veered on to the other side of the street, went off the road and hit a pole.
Acosta, of Central Islip, was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
