A Stamford man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing more that $800,000 from a family trust fund he administered.

State officials say 69-year-old Curtis Solsvig served as a trustee to a trust account set up by relatives for their two children.

They say that Solsvig stole money from that account over the course of eight years, taking over $816,000 and leaving only $20 in the trust.

Solsvig pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud.

His sentence begins next month.
