A 70-year-old Bayport man was arrested Wednesday for robbing a Sayville gas station, police say.

Police say Joseph Goetzfried went into a station on Middle Road at around 12:30 p.m., told the worker he had a weapon and demanded cash.

The employee handed him the money and then Goetzfriend fled. Police caught him 10 minutes later.
