Gusty winds and heavy rain caused flooding across Rockland County this morning.

Flooding caused road closures at the Bear Mountain Circle and on the Palisades Parkway, Route 9W, Route 303 and Route 202.

Gusty winds also took down power lines. Congers resident Joe MIttiga says one live wire caused a small fire in front of his house. He said it took the rain nearly five hours to put out the fire.

Orange & Rockland Utilities eventually shut down power to the neighborhood and says there is no longer a threat to the area as they make repairs.
