‘You killed somebody.’ Fast cash reward offered for information into 2022 LIE hit-and-run crash

A Lindenhurst family is desperate to know who killed their loved one a year ago in a hit-and-run crash.
Suffolk police are once again sharing surveillance video hoping it will jog someone's memory.
On Dec. 5, 2022, Robert Twiford, 61, was killed on the exit ramp of Exit 60 on the Long Island Expressway. Authorities say he was pulled over and outside his truck when he was struck by a Ford Focus.
"I don't really have words, it's unexplainable,” said widow Donna Twiford. They were married for nearly 30 years.
“It's like losing a part of you. My whole life has changed. My future. I don't know what my future is anymore,” said Twiford.
She and detectives believe the key to solving the case is in surveillance video taken moments after the accident occurred, less than half a mile away on Garrity Avenue.
Suffolk police say the surveillance video shows the driver of the Ford Focus is looking for damage to his vehicle. Police believe it's a 2015-2018 gray Ford Focus hatchback.
"I would just like to know how you sleep at night?” Twiford asked. “How you lay your head on the pillow knowing you killed somebody and left a family with no dad, no grandfather, no husband. It just baffles me."
A fast cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. The reward will be issued within seven days of an arrest.
