News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says temperatures will struggle to reach the 40s for the middle of the week. However, highs will be in the 50s for the weekend.

-Cold weather coming up Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures running a little bit below normal. Slight chance for a sprinkle or flurry Wednesday.

-Warmer weather arrives for Friday-Sunday.

-Sunday's rain is trending later in the day. A sharp cold front will bring brief moderate to heavy rain with gusty winds.

OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cold with lows near 30. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 7:02

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy and cold with highs near 41. Slight chance for a brief rain or snow shower. North wind 5 to 15 mph. Sunset: 4:25.
