Nassau DA: Amityville contractor used money from clients on airfare, child support

Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly says the owner of PBF Home Improvements took money for jobs but did not complete the work.

The owner of a Long Beach-based construction company is accused of scamming homeowners out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly says the owner of PBF Home Improvements took money for jobs but did not complete the work.

Prosecutors say Peter Ferrigan, of Amityville, used the money for airline ticket, jewelry and child support between 2019 and 2021.

Ferrigan faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
