Officials say three people were rescued after a boat capsized off the south shore.

The 41-foot fishing boat capsized about a mile from Shinnecock Inlet around noon on Thursday.

The Coast Guard tells News 12 the boat started taking on water before capsizing.

All three people on the boat were wearing life jackets and were rescued.
