Two Nassau County liquor stores just four miles apart were robbed within hours of each other, police say.

Detectives say two people pried open the front door of Wine Society on North Boulevard Monday evening in Greenvale. They say the suspects grabbed a few bottles then took off in a white Dodge pickup truck.

Hours later, detectives say three men broke into Raeder’s on Willis Avenue in Albertson. Liquor was also stolen from that store and the suspects fled in a BMW.

Police say they do not believe the two burglaries are connected.
