The Farmingdale community gathered Friday for the first high school homecoming since September’s devastating bus crash.
A pep rally kicked off at 5 p.m. ahead of the varsity football team’s game.
The crash seriously injured dozens of students who were in the marching band as they were headed to a competition in Pennsylvania. It also resulted in the deaths of high school band director Gina Pellettiere and former teacher Beatrice Ferrari.
The marching band performed for the first time since the crash. The performance was dedicated to Pellettiere and Ferrari.
The varsity football team remained undefeated with a 42-0 win.
