The ban stems from an alleged racist incident that happened earlier this month.

In a letter to parents, the school district says it cannot comment on any disciplinary actions taken against two students who were also allegedly involved.

The students and alumni are accused of pushing a group of children and shouting racial slurs at them near a high school football game.

The family of the alleged victims confronted town leaders this week, demanding more than just disciplinary action. They say what happened amounts to a hate crime.
