An East Meadow man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a nurse Sunday evening at Nassau University Medical Center.

Police say Fidel Velasquez kicked and bit the 35-year-old nurse while she was taking care of him around 11 p.m.

News 12 is told the nurse suffered minor bruising.

Velasquez will be arraigned when he is deemed medically fit.
