A man from Florida was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident after a pedestrian was killed Friday night in Hampton Bays.

Police say 55-year-old Kenneth Riccioli hit the pedestrian with his vehicle at around 7:30 p.m. on Springville Road and then took off.

Police have yet to release the identity of the pedestrian.
