News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says better weather is coming for Wednesday with a chance for more scattered storms Thursday evening.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Storms will weaken as they head north and we shouldn't have any big impacts - maybe some minor street flooding if the East End gets more rainfall.

Drier weather arrives Wednesday with a few showers and storms returning by Thursday evening, clearing by Friday morning. The upcoming weekend looks fantastic! Picture perfect skies with sunshine and highs near 80.

OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a good chance for showers and storms through midnight. Becoming partly cloudy. Lows near 68 with northeast to east winds 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 6:03.
