‘Surf for All’ program gives kids with disabilities a chance to surf
Surf for All has allowed kids from the Henri Viscardi School to learn surfing for the last 10 years.

Children and teens with disabilities got the chance to learn how to surf on Wednesday.
The kids, part of the Henri Viscardi School, took part in a surf camp run by “Surf for All,” a Long Island nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping people and exposing them to the ocean.
"I was very happy, excited, it was very fun,” said participant Victoria Velasquez.
This is the 10th year students with Henry Viscardi School have learned to surf with Surf for All. The collaboration started 10 years ago in honor of former student Connor Troy.
"I think the way they are so dedicated to having people with disabilities achieve something new and achieve something they didn't think was possible is a really important aspect, and they should be very proud of that,” said Hicksville’s Emma Greenfield.
Teachers with the Viscardi school say they are working with Surf for All to have another camp later this summer. Camps run all summer long.
