A Freeport woman is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing money from elderly patients at a North Bellmore facility.
Detectives say Ashley Atkinson, of Freeport, worked at AHRC where she was in charge of the residents’ funds.
The 22-year-old allegedly made dozens of unauthorized withdrawals from six accounts, totaling nearly $4,500.
Atkinson falsified business records in an attempt to conceal the withdrawals, according to police.
Atkinson is charged with grand larceny, two counts of scheme to defraud and falsifying business records.
