Long Island Gay Men's Chorus use their voices to help other nonprofits that support LGBTQ+ community

The Long Island Gay Men's Chorus is using their love of music to raise awareness and support the LGBTQ+ community in the area.
The nonprofit organization started 15 years ago as a place where gay men could make music and form friendships. Over the years, the singing group has used its voice to raise thousands of dollars for organizations that help the LGBTQ+ community.
They have supported organizations like Thursday's Child, which serves people who live with HIV, AIDS and other challenges. They also help out the LGBT Network and Pride for Youth.
"On a local level, Pride for Youth has done incredible work for our K-12 students and that is so important, especially now," says Paul Ferrante, of the Long Island Gay Men's Chorus.
They recently raised money at a concert at Northport Village's first Northport Pridefest.
The next event will be a cabaret in the fall, and they hope to perform a Christmas concert in December at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City.
