Some Ronkonkoma residents say they are frustrated after they were forced from their temporary housing by another disaster.

The residents who live at the Alston Station Square Apartments on Mill Road had to leave after a fire broke out on Tuesday night.

One resident says the fire was in the trash room. He says he couldn't believe it was happening again.

In December 2022, the residents were displaced after a sprinkler system pipe burst. The building was deemed unsafe after that, and the residents moved to another building on the same property.

News 12 reached out to the management company and the Ronkonkoma Fire Department but has not heard back.
