The Ride for Life has been out on Long Island roads and at our schools for 27 years - fighting to find a cure for Lou Gehrig's disease.

Ride of Life visits schools across Long Island and this year they plan on hitting 70 schools.
Founder Chris Pendergast started the Ride for Life to raise awareness about the disease.

Since the ride started, students have helped raise over $11 million toward the cause. However, there is still no medicine to slow down the progression of the disease or a cure.
Paul Weisman has been living with ALS for more than 10 years. He says he will continue to deliver a message of hope to students and to patients in memory of Chris.
