A Middle Island man has been arrested for allegedly stealing an ATV Sunday in Yaphank before crashing it.
Officials say three deputy sheriffs noticed Trevor Allen speeding and driving recklessly on Sills Road.
Before police could pull Allen over, he crashed into a stop sign.
The 2016 Yamaha Raptor he was using was reported stolen in July 2022.
