MTA votes to ban alcohol advertising from trains, platforms
The MTA Board voted Wednesday to ban alcohol advertising on its trains and platforms. The booze advertising ban will go into effect at the beginning of 2018. Currently, passengers are legally allowed to drink alcohol on board LIRR trains, except during some holidays that are known for drinking and after midnight on the weekend.
