Gunmen opened fire near the Huntington train station early Tuesday morning following a dispute, leaving two people wounded. Police say the shooting occurred shortly after midnight at Railroad Street and Lowndes Avenue. According to police, two men in their 20s were walking when they got into some kind of dispute with two other men. They say a gun was pulled out and at least three shots were fired.
Police say the victims ran down to the Huntington LIRR station, where an anonymous 911 call was made. The men were taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both victims are expected to be OK.Police say they are searching for the suspects and have not yet made any arrests.
