Two teens are facing charges after police say shots were fired in Massapequa Saturday afternoon.
Police say 17-year-old Peter Libardi was meeting up with another teenager to buy an iPhone from him at Field of Dreams. The location is right near Sportstime, where children were playing in a bounce house.
Libardi allegedly showed the teen a gun and then took off with the phone. Police say that when the other teen gave chase, Libardi fired multiple shots in his direction. The victim was not hit.
Libardi allegedly took off in a black car, but was stopped in Amityville. News 12 is told a 14-year-old girl was in the car, and both were arrested.
Police say Libardi and the juvenile are being charged with first- and second-degree robbery. Libardi is also being charged with menacing, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
