Police tell News 12 Long Island that two Suffolk County schools were put on lockdown this afternoon after threats of violence.
According to police, Selden Middle School was faxed a threat earlier this morning.
Around the same time, police say Newfield High School, also in Selden, received a threat on the phone.
Police say both schools were put on lockdown and checked by officers and police dogs.
Nothing dangerous was found, and the lockdowns were lifted.
