Officials say two men and two women were rescued from a sinking boat Monday night in the Great South Bay.
They say the distress call came in around 5:30 p.m.
According to officials, the boat was sinking south of Timber Point Marina in Great River.
The Suffolk Marine Bureau says they located the boaters within minutes, but their 19-foot boat was completely submerged.
They say some of the victims were wearing life jackets, while others were clinging to floating cushions and a cooler.
The boaters are from the Islip-Mastic Beach area and are expected to be OK.
