Long Island lifeguards Garrett Thibodeau and Sandi Woodhead have been selected to compete in the International Surf Rescue Challenge in Australia.
The Port Jefferson natives are two out of 16 Americans to be chosen and are training harder then ever.
"All the training we do, everyone's into it and everyone wants to be part of the National Team. The goal is to win," Thibodeau says.
The Smith Point Beach lifeguards will first be competing in the National Lifeguard Championships in Daytona Beach.
