Two Long Island musicians are set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Long Beach's Joan Jett and her band The Blackhearts will take their place in the Cleveland music museum.
The late Lou Reed, of Freeport, will also be inducted. The singer and songwriter passed away in Southampton in October 2013.
Others being inducted include Green Day, Ringo Starr, Bill Withers and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
The ceremony takes place in April 2015.
